The Bird & The Bee releases fun and familiar tracks on new album

April 2, 2010

Interpreting the Masters Volume 1: A Tribute To Daryl Hall and John Oates is the third album by the American indie/pop music duo The Bird and the Bee…and yes, the whole album is a Hall & Oates tribute album. I personally find this a refreshing approach to the classic songs of Hall & Oates. The group defintely made every song their own. The record features eight classic Hall & Oates covers along with the original song Heard It on the Radio – a track that reminds me alot of a milder Sophie Ellis-Bextor in her early days. Shirley Manson of alternative rock group Garbage also makes an appearance by performing the backing vocals for the 1981 Billboard Hot 100 #1 single Maneater.

Download new songs from this album – Heard It On The Radio, I Can’t Go For That, Maneater and One On One here and enjoy the classic songs reinterpreted.
