The new album by Leona Lewis, Echo will be released internationally on November 16th. Lewis worked with Ryan Tedder, Justin Timberlake, Max Martin, John Shanks, and Harvey Mason. Jr. amongst others to produce the follow-up to her debut album Spirit. The album is preceded by the single Happy, which was released on September 15th. Unlike her debut album where she travelled between cities, Echo was recorded entirely in Los Angeles and took nine months to produce. She told Variety magazine that she “wanted the album to have a little bit more of a live feel to it, with a little more live instrumentation.”

…and yes the album does sound more livelier than her previous melancholy-sounded debut album. The album brings more different sounds and some up-tempo tracks. It is said her second single would be either Outta My Head or Lost then Found, a song featuring One Republic. Lewis also has been given the goddess treatment by the godmother of punk, Dame Vivienne Westwood.

Westwood has created a series of modern, ‘heroine’ gowns, in gold lamé and white satin, for the release of Leona Lewis’ new single and second album, next month. Each gown is made-to-measure in Westwood’s couture atelier in central London, constructed around a fitted, wasp-waisted, boned leotard, and features the designer’s signature cleavage-enhancing corset, allied to a romantic, crinoline-style skirt. Lewis wears the designs in all the promotional material and videos for the new single, ‘Happy’, which was released in October.
